Welcome to this edition of the Council on Women and Girls Weekly Highlights! This week, President Obama traveled to El Paso, Texas to discuss the importance of fixing our broken immigration system. Later this week, The President focused on building a strong national infrastructure by pursuing a clean energy economy. In honor of Mother’s Day, the First Lady and Dr. Biden welcomed military spouses to the White House and thanked them for the sacrifices they make for their families.

President Obama on Fixing Our Broken Immigration System: “E Pluribus, Unum”
On Monday, President Obama traveled to El Paso, Texas to deliver a speech about how we can work towards a better future with comprehensive immigration reform. Watch the speech to learn about important steps our Nation needs to take in order to enforce laws in a smarter and more strategic way.
