Dear Friends and Colleagues,
On behalf of the organizers and The Swiss Institute of Allergy and Asthma Research (SIAF) it is a great pleasure to invite you to the 3rd World Immune Regulation Meeting.

22-25 March 2009, Davos

With an outstanding list of speakers in this field, "Immune Regulation - Davos" is now one of the key events of the year 2009, being big enough to learn from other disciplines and small enough to personally meet the experts. There will be 12 unopposed plenary symposia with 50 main speakers.
We will have 9 workshops with 51 oral presentations. The evening sessions will give young researchers the opportunity to meet senior scientists. As at other Davos meetings, we will come together for dip & discuss poster sessions with dinner and drinks providing a relaxed and stimulatory atmosphere for scientific exchange.

This year’s "Special Lecture" will be given by Dr. Lyn Evans, Since 1994, Dr. Evans has led the design and construction of the Large Hadron Collider at the European Laboratory for Particle Physics (CERN) near Geneva.

The Gala Dinner will be on the 25th of March at 20:00 with Dr. Quincy and his big band "Lemon Shakers". You will have ideal opportunities to apply for open positions or to find highly motivated fellows. Rooms for interviews will be provided free of charge.

Long lunch breaks will allow to digest attended symposia, while enjoying the winter sports and landscape. Davos is a winter-sports paradise for snowboard and skiing enthusiasts from all over the world. The region provides 62 mountain transport facilities, 310 km of well-prepared slopes. In addition, cross country skiing, ice-sports, wonderful hiking routes through the beautiful countryside are all possibilities offered to you in Davos. For the participants who are not skiing, I particularly suggest the hiking routes Höhe Promenade or a tour around the Davos lake. Do not forget to take nuts with you to feed the squirrels.

The organizing committee promises to present you a great scientific programme, a surprising social programme and a warm smile.  Your contribution to the program and discussions will help us to achieve our goal.
